Hook:
When critical components face sustained heat, abrasive wear, and corrosive environments, maintaining surface integrity becomes a primary challenge. Standard welding alloys may not provide the lasting performance needed for these demanding service conditions.
Solution & Product Overview:
Our cobalt based cast rods are formulated for applications requiring a balance of surface durability and elevated temperature performance. Available in two primary grades, they offer distinct property profiles to match specific operational needs.
Product Details & Specifications:
1. Cocrw 6 Cobalt Based Cast Rods (AWS A5.21:2001 ERCoCr-A)
material: Cocrw 6 cobalt base alloy(Co-based alloy 6, cobalt base alloy 6)
This widely used grade features a balanced composition of carbon and tungsten, contributing to its notable toughness and machinability. It maintains a combination of corrosion resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance, and anti-galling properties across a broad temperature range up to approximately 800°C.
Typical Applications: Suited for components requiring sustained performance under heat, wear, and corrosion, such as automotive and internal combustion engine valves, high-temperature/high-pressure valves, hot shear blades, hot forging dies, and bearing races that experience both impact and thermal exposure.
Room Temperature Hardness: HRC 40-46
Available Diameters: 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.4mm, 2.7mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm, 4.8mm
Standard Length: 1000mm
2. Cocrw 12 Cobalt Based Cast Rods (AWS A5.21:2001 ERCoCr-B)
Material: Cocrw 12 cobalt base alloy(Co-based alloy 12, cobalt base alloy 12)
With a higher tungsten content, this grade develops a higher matrix hardness for enhanced abrasion and wear resistance. The deposited weld metal offers good corrosion, heat, and wear resistance, retaining these characteristics at temperatures reaching approximately 800°C, and remains machinable.
Typical Applications: Used for overlaying components like high-pressure/high-temperature valves, internal combustion engine valves, various chemical industry blades, high-pressure pump sleeves, wood saw blades, hot rolling finish pass rolls, and screw feeders.
Room Temperature Hardness: HRC 46-51
Available Diameters: 2.7mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm, 4.8mm
Standard Length: 1000mm
Common Features & Ordering:
Welding Methods: Both alloys are suitable for overlay welding using the oxy-acetylene (carburizing flame) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) processes.
Packaging: Standard packaging is available, with custom packaging specifications and requirements supported through contractual agreement.
